作品简介
　　2005年，中国奉节。

　　画家刘小东前往三峡地区创作油画《温床》，十二名拆迁工人成为他写生的模特，这座有两千年历史的城市因三峡工程的建设而即将消逝，画家也在与模特的相处中被现实征服。

　　2006年，泰国曼谷。

　　《温床》的第二部分在曼谷进行，刘小东请来十二位热带女性为她们写生，炎热的城市让女人们昏昏欲睡，唯有地上的水果鲜艳依旧.画家因体力的付出而渐感劳累，女人们却挣开眼合唱一曲欢快的歌。

　　两个城市都有河流经过,奔腾向前绝不回头。

 

 

制作简介

2002年年底，刘小东去三峡旅游，看到正在搬迁的三峡县城，即萌发了创作的想法。 直到2003年SARS爆发的时候，刘小东创作了第一幅关于三峡的油画作品——《三峡大移民》（200cm×800cm）。

2005年下半年，刘小东和贾樟柯相约共赴三峡，分别创作了油画《温床》和以刘小东为主角的纪录片《东》。

 About the Works

2005, Fengjie, China.

Artist Liu Xiaodong went to the Three Gorges area for the creation of “Hot Bed” oil painting series. Twelve dismantling workers became his models. The city has a history of two thousand years, but it is disappearing because of the Three Gorges project. Through the communications with his models, the artist was conquered by the reality.

2006年，Bangkok, Thailand.

The second part of “Hot Bed” was being created in Bangkok. Liu Xiaodong invited twelve women from the tropical area. The hot city made the women drowsy, but the fresh fruit on the ground was still fresh with vibrant colours. The artist was gradually getting tired, but the women opened their eyes and sang a joyous song.

Each city has a running river, moving forward without looking back.

About the Production

At the end of 2002, Liu Xiaodong went to the Three Gorges area for traveling and was inspired by the city that was being destroyed. In 2003, as SARS broke out, Liu Xiaodong created his first oil painting about the Three Gorges, “The Big Immigration from the Three Gorges （200cm×800cm）.

At the end of 2005, Liu Xiaodong went to the Three Gorges area again with film director Jia Zhangke. Liu Xiaodong created the oil painting series “Hot Bed”, where as Jia Zhangke created the documentary “Dong” featuring Liu Xiaodong as the main character.
