总有这样一种感觉——
当我第一次学会用语言直露自己的心迹时，是那么的激动和快乐。
因为语言缩短了人们心灵的距离。
当我第一次学会用语言表达虚情假意时，同样是那么的激动和快乐，
因为语言能游离在人们的心灵之间，去获得暗含个人最自私的需要。
某一天，我忽然发现，我已经习惯于用语言技巧表达口是心非的东西。
而且，慢慢认为这就是真实，因此心理有一种莫名的羞愧和恐惧，我失语了。
艺术或许也是这样，需要真实，从而真实地展现人的心灵世界。

陈华新自“八五新潮”创作现代抽象艺术，至今已经二十余年。近期的绘画作品借鉴了版画的制作手段，突破纸质的材料运用，以简约的线条、肌理，以抽象的绘画方式表达他对生活的体验。《心经—重解书法》系列作品可以看作是对过去的反思与回顾，对当代抽象艺术的新的探索。《一》、《界》系列作品是对道教文化空灵境界的体验。陈华新坚持艺术来源于生活，艺术表达着心灵的感受。
陈华新是一位严谨内敛的艺术家，注重积累、探索、体验、创新，此回在顶层画廊的展览是他的第一个个展。

I always have such a kind of feeling------
When I first learnt to express myself in language I was so excited and happy.
Language go between people’s hearts to get personal latent needs, which may be the most selfish things.
One day, I suddenly find out I have been used to saying one thing and meaning another through the language skills .
Gradually I think it is the case. Then I have a strange feeling of shame and fear deep in my heart. I am Speechless.
It is the same with Art. Art needs the sense of reality to lay bare one’s true feelings.

It has been more than twenty years since Chen Huaxin researched Modern Abstract Art. In his recent paintings, he has constantly brought forth new ideas in arts. He uses the prints’ making methods to break through the application of paper materials. With simple lines and skin texture, he expresses his taste for life in an abstract painting way. The series of 《Xinjing------Deco of Calligraphy 》can be interpreted looking back and looking ahead. It is a new probe into the modern abstract art. 《One》and《Boundary》 reflect the illusory of Taoism. Chen huaxin insists art comes from life and art lays bare one’s true feeling. The show on the top floor is his first personal art show.
